Week 5: Online Meetings & Web 2.0 application

This week we were introduced to different online meeting sites. The sites seem very beneficial for people to collaborate on -- especially those that live far away from one another.  Using these online meeting sites can save people on gas money and time.

I chose to look at the Web 2.0 application of TripCart.  It is a trip planning tool that I really enjoyed looking at.  I thought it offered many wonderful qualities all in one spot to help individuals plan their own unique travel experience.  I love to travel and have started using the site to help plan my next summer vacation to Hawaii.  If you love to travel, I would suggest taking a look at the site ... www.tripcart.com.  The site offers a 'take the tour' screencast that shows you exactly how to use the site and everything it has to offer.  Happy traveling.

Hi Crystal. Thanks for the link to tripcart. My wife's parents recently moved to Tuscon AZ from Las Vegas. After many years in Vegas I was sad to see them move because I loved going to Vegas and staying in their home and doing all the casinos and canyon walks without the expense of lodging. Well, when they moved I didn't think too much of the Tuscon area until I actually visited tripcart. I loved the interface and found many things to do that were unknown to me before. My wife and I found many things we could do as a couple and things to do with the kids. It is a worthwhile site.

I'll be looking foraward to the paper on TripCart - it is a new web 2.0 app to me. What did you think of online collaboration - could you connect two classes at a distance - maybe two cultures?
